New Patient Enticement

Promotion Image

Comprehensive vision examinations are an essential part of maintaining good health and comfortable eyesight.  Our examination procedure includes a refraction that measures the optical correction of your eyes and an evaluation of your ocular health.  We routinely check for cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration.  Patients with diabetes are closely monitored for retinal changes related to their illness.  We want to encourage people who have never had an eye examination to come in and have their vision and eye health checked.  We also want to entice patients who have never been to our office to give us a try.  To this end, we offer a $30 courtesy toward our normal adult examination fees for your first visit, or a $15 courtesy toward a children's examination.  This offer cannot be applied to insurance covered examinations or services.  Please print out this page and present it to our staff to receive the discount.

Free Anti-Reflection Coating

There are two coatings that improve the performance of spectacle lenses.  The first is a scratch resistant coating.  This helps to reduce the amount of surface scratches from the everyday use of glasses.  This coating improves the scratch resistance of the surface of the lens, it does not make it scratch proof.  Cleaning your lenses with water and a drop or two of a mild dishwashing detergent, rinsing with clear water and drying with a soft cotton cloth is still the best way to clean them.

Anti-Reflection coatings help to reduce the glare and reflections from lights at night.  This significantly improves your vision at night.  This is especially important for those who drive at night, play sports under night lights, or attend evening concerts or plays.  Most uncoated lenses will only transmit 88-93 % of the light from the viewed object to the eye; this coating improves the percentage of light getting to the eye.  Objects will look sharper and brighter.  Because this coating reduces all reflections, people will clearly see your eyes behind the lenses, without the distracting reflections of surrounding lights.  We recommend this coating for our patients who want the best vision at night, or patients who want to project a professional image when speaking to others.  Lenses with this coating require a bit more attentive care.  Frequent cleaning with warm water and a little oil cutting dishwashing detergent, followed by rinsing with clear water and drying with a clean dry cotton cloth works best.  Avoid cleaners with ammonia.  They can break down the coating and cause them to crack.

For a limited time only, we will provide you with an Anti-Reflection coating FREE of charge when you present this page to our desk at check out.  This offer applies only to a purchase of a complete pair of glasses and it cannot be used in conjunction with vision insurance programs.
